Synopsis

They are fed up with capitalism. They are fed up with the city, smog and crowds. They are fed up of being fed up. This is a documentary film about the people who decided to abandon urban lifestyle, leave everything behind and go live away from civilization, in the natural environment of a small village of Blatuša in Petrova gora, about 100 kilometers away from Zagreb. A picturesque community of people from all over Croatia was gathered by musician and inventor Robert Schenk. Thanks to his invention, bought by many international celebrities from Sting to Santana, Robert made a fortune and bought more than 60 hectares of land, where he established an eco-village and a community with people who shared his ideas. They build houses of mud and straw, defying construction lobbies and trying to live by tribal principles. Is this possible in the 21st century?

Tomislav Jelinčić was born 1977 in Zagreb. He is a senior year MA student of film and TV directing (documentary film) at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. In 2004 he graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb. In his many years of work as a journalist for national broadcasters, he made dozens of documentary cover stories concerning phenomena in society, politics and culture. Filmography: “Deadline/Lifeline” (2013), “Fed up!” (2013).
