Synopsis

Documentary film about the victims of Swiss franc loans in Croatia, or about the problem of probably most dramatic and most expensive reflection on how state neglects its own citizens but also about the lack of knowledge that in such cases, government intervention is not only possible but also binding. But what remains when the HDZ and the SDP-led governments are now partners and clients of those who threaten its citizens? The film tells about the problem through several levels: the fate of victims of credits (Zagreb, Pula, Vukovar, Rijeka, Osijek, Veliko Trgovišće) who experienced the drama - family breakdown, illness, death - and the explanations of experts on financial, legal, political and historical -sociological aspects of the problem.

Arsen Oremovic, since 1991 works as critic, journalist, columnist and editor at Vecernji list. In 1999. he was the director of the film festival in Pula, a member of various juries in the fields of film and music, the two terms President of the Croatian Society of Film Critics (2001./2003.).
