Synopsis

Kuku is the personal story of one of the most famous Estonian film actors during the Soviet era, Arvo Kukumägi. He wants to make a comeback to the big screen, but constantly suffers different setbacks – he has a major alcohol problem, a bunch of failed relationships and a near-dead professional career.

Andres Maimik (born in 1970) graduated in directing from Tallinn Pedagogical University. He works as a film director, a scriptwriter, TV producer and film critic. Filmography: “186 kilometers”, “The Art of Selling”.

Kaidi Kaasik (born in 1982) graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts in 2004. In 2011 she graduated a Baltic Film and Media School. As a filmmaker she is focused on life and people.
