A teacher lives a lonely life, all the while struggling over his son's custody. His life slowly gets better as he finds love and receives good news from his son, but his new luck is about to be brutally shattered by an innocent little lie.

Celebrated director Thomas Vinterberg graduated from the Danish Film School in 1993. His graduation film “Last Round” was nominated for a student Oscar. In 1995 Lars von Trier and him wrote the DOGME 95 manifesto. Vinterberg’s DOGME film, “Festen” (The Celebration-1998) was the first film of the movement. It received international awards including the Jury prize at Cannes.
