7th Danube Region Film Festival will present 87 movies in 13 programs on a record number of seven locations! Beside three competition categories, other out of competition categories include: World, Planet Partner – The Earth, Matinees and Europe Open Up – long! This year we added the following categories:  Europe Open Up!  - Short, Scandinavian focus, Best of Vukovar Film Festival , A Retrospective of Contemporary German Film and the Retrospective of Miki Manojlović, respected Serbian actor who is also a member of the jury.

„Two most important evening locations for this year's festival are Terrace of the Agency for Waterways and Eltz Castle Park, locations where visitors can see the best of latest Danubian and world cinematography. New location is Ilok Cinema-LI Principovac based on the country estate Principovac where we will present the best films in Main program (competition). Ruzicka's House, Danubian Sand Island “Ada” and Borovo Cinema will remain as  our traditional festival's locations.  After the festival, audience can enjoy all films from festival in CineStar Cinemas around Croatia“-say organizers of 7th Danube Region Film Festival.

Main Program(Competition) Feature films will have a Croatian premiere of 'An episode in the life of Iron Picker' Berlin film festival winner, new movie of Oscar winning director Danis Tanović is story of a Roma family confronted with health insurance bureaucracy goes through life drama, Romanian drama 'Child's Pose' directed by Calin Peter Netzer about influent woman who intervenes to save her problematic son; award winning a tragy-comedy 'Oh Boy' by Jan Ole Gerster on student who is battling his own life which won six German film awards.

In category of Short films (Competition) audience can enjoy following titles: short Romanian film 'House party' directed by Adrian Sitaru, story about a mother ‘s struggle with her son’s puberty.  Also,  two interesting Croatian film titles will be presented in Vukovar: 'Pretty boy' by Saša Ban and award winning film 'Terrarium' by Hana Jusic, a story about youth frustrations which make one summer much more interesting.

Main program  (Competition) Documentaries bring the most interesting number of films such as Croatian documentarie 'Fed Up!' directed by Tomislav Jelincic. The film is about small community which lives in ecological village and outdares 21 century. Also acclaimed film title 'Married to a Swiss' directed by Arsen Oremović is a documentarie on victims of loan in Swiss franc in Croatia which will catch big attention.  Excellent documentary 'Trains of Thoughts' by Time Novotny discovers subways as a centre of different dramatic stories and 'Outing', the best film on Gender Docufilm Festival Rome 2012., presents a story about young archaeologist  Sven who discovers his paedophiliac urges and decides to fight them.

Music program has never been better than this year! Kino TV party zone is held on beach bar Danube Gardens and famous Croatian bands Gustafi, Let 3 and Pips Chips & Videoclips will have the most spectacular concerts in Vukovar.
