Biggest movie treats at the most attractive location of Vukovar film festival!

Since the category "DokuTV – chosen by Đelo Hadžiselimović" was introduced at the Vukovar Film Festival, the same became the real sensation and the extra ticket was wanted year after year. How would not it be when screenings are held at the absolutely most attractive location of the complete festival - the one on Magenta 1 Vukovar Waterbus. Aside for the tickets, visitors get popcorn, drinks and enjoy the panoramic ride on the Danube during the screening. More than that, it can hardly be desired.

This year the organizers of the festival and the tireless Đelo Hadžiselimović have been working to fill the category with real movie treats. In the four days of the festival, the audience will see four top films of documentary production, of which the absolute greatest is "Maradona" directed by Asif Kapadija. The director of praised and award-winning documentaries "Senna" and "Amy" has produced a new work that will delight the audience around the world about one of the biggest, best but most controversial footballers of all time.

In addition to sports, viewers will also be able to watch documentaries from the world of fashion - "Jean Paul Gaultier: Freak and Chic" directed by Yann L'Henoret who has been making documentaries from the world of politics and sports so far. Jean Paul Gaultier is one of the most famous fashion designers, and in this documentary we have been following six months of preparation for his "Freak and Chic" show in Paris.  Combining fashion with a film, dance, theater and a spectacle without borders, the show created by Gaultier represents the 40-year retrospective of this famous designer's career.

There are also two documentaries from the world of music. One is about the famous opera singer "Maria by Callas" directed by Thomas Wolf. This is also the first movie that tells the story of the legendary Greek-American opera singer, in her own words. Exclaimed through her performances, television interviews, home movies, family photos, private letters and never-released memoirs, this film reveals the essence of this incredible woman who has been raised from the humble beginnings of New York to the status of a glamorous international star.

And when we’re talking about stars, probably the brightest is Italian - Luciano Pavarotti. The documentary directed by Oscar winner Ron Howard ("A Beautiful Mind"), presented to us by a fantastic documentary "Beatles: Eight Days a Week", has also been included in the program of this year's festival, raising the curtain and showing us an icon approaching people all over the world. Luciano Pavarotti gave his whole life to music and his voice to the world. This true cinematic experience is full of his historical performances and intimate interviews, including never-before-seen recordings.

All screenings on Magenta 1 Vukovar Waterbus are scheduled at 21:30 every day of the festival.
