Summary:

‘The Accidental Son’ is a visual document of Robert Zuber’s personal story. Now a familiar TV personality Robert grew up in foster home. He had never paid much attention to that fact, as his early life was full of warmth and care on the part of foster parents. However, after his foster mother dies, the bureaucratic apparatus tries to convince him that he in fact has no parents.

On his 31th birthday Robert decides to clear up his obscure parental and familiy roots. He contacts his biological mother and tries to find out everything that had happened to him in his early childhood. At the same time he makes an attempt to decipher the identity of his biological father…embarking on a quest filled with surprises.

Biography

Tomislav Mršić is author of few documentaries. His films ‘Šala nije na liniji 310’, ‘Rio bravar’ and ‘Čardak i na nebu i na zemlji’ were awarded at the Croatian Film Days.

Robert Zuber is a journalist on the Croatian national TV, twice awarded with the Croatian Journalists Association Award. Seven years ago he directed his first documentary ‘Na stanici u Puli'.
