Synopsis

Spomenko Bagaric has been living and working on the island of Zlarin since 1986., and thereby is the only representative of one institution that functions on a state level. He puts considerable effort into not climbing the institution hierarchy ladder, and so far, it's been working out for him. It is fair to conclude that he is at peace both with his choice of a profession and a place of service. Remote from the centers of power, cheap politics, and peer pressure, he can peacefully devote his life to the things that matter most to him; philosophy, and friendship. We follow Spomenko one february week on the isolated island.

Bruno Lovrenčić was born in Zagreb in 1973. He went to schooll there, and then attended Zagreb university, majoring in architecture. During studies, he started to work part time as a light operator in Croatian National Theatre. After university, works as an architect, and then gradually starts experimenting with film, at first as architectural, presentation movies, and later with experimental movies, as well as documentaries. Hu currently resides between Zagreb and Bruxelles, where he works as na illustrator, and Graphic novel author.
