Revival follows a group of friends whose rock band, Smoke, broke up in 1972. Now, forty years later, they are planning a mega-comeback with four mates, four stories and four different reasons to revive a band long extinct— a combination of money, nostalgia for lost fame, the need to help a friend, and fear of infirmity, illness and death.
Alice Nellis (born January 3, 1971) studied scriptwriting at FAMU Prague. Alice Nellis first worked as a flutist before studying English literature and American literature. Her first feature film (directed and scripted) Eeny meeny (2000) won the Screenplay award of the FAMU Festival and Best film prize at San Francisco IFF. Her 2002 film Some Secrets won Czech Lions for best screenplay and the critics award. She is also known as a very successful theatre director, her theatre plays gained many awards within Czech Republic.
