Storyline

After a botched bank robbery lands his younger brother in prison, Constantine "Connie" Nikas (Robert Pattinson) embarks on a twisted odyssey through the city's underworld in an increasingly desperate - and dangerous - attempt to get his brother Nick (Benny Safdie) out of jail. Over the course of one adrenalized night, Connie finds himself on a mad descent into violence and mayhem as he races against the clock to save his brother and himself, knowing their lives hang in the balance.  

Benny and Josh Safdie were born in New York City. Together, they have co-directed several films, including the shorts The Adventures Of Slater's Friend (2005), John's Gone (2010), The Black Balloon (2012), Lenny Cooke (2013), and the feature film Heaven Knows What (2014). Their first feature film Daddy Longlegs won the John Cassavetes Award at the 2011 Independent Spirit Awards, and their short The Black Balloon won the Sundance Film Festival 2012 Jury prize for Best U.S Short. Their first documentary Lenny Cooke (2013) premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Their 2017 film, Good Time, was selected in competition at the 70th Cannes Film Festival.
