The musicians of the Berlin Philharmonic and their conductor Sir Simon Rattle set off on a concert tour of Beijing, Seoul, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei and Tokyo - taking with them the music of Thomas Adès‘ Asyla, Beethoven‘s Eroica and Richard Strauss‘ A Hero‘s Life | Ein Heldenleben. 126 musi-cians, all masters of their craft, each with their own unique personalities who must come together to channel their indi-vidual skills and harness their virtuosity – on a single mission of creating the Orchestra‘s distinctive sound.

Born in 1971, Thomas Grube studied politics and north American and east European culture at the Free University in Berlin. He also studied film and television at the college ‘Konrad Wolf’ in Babelsberg.  His first long film, „Love is The Messsage“ (1994), is a comprehensive record of his own early techno-generation. In 2004, together with his co-director Enriquez Sánchez Lansch, he received the Bavarian Film Prize for having directed „Rhythm is it !“  then in 2005 he received the German Film Prize for having produced it. As a director and producer he has received many national and international prizes.
